2008 Fishing Report

June 28th...We fished the Erie Pennsylvania Sport Fishing Association Walleye Challenge. The Haynes Charter from Waterford, PA reeled in 9 walleyes with Curt as first mate. Our catch was good for 13th place out of 45 boats. Leadcore, stickbaits and boards did all of the damage.

 

June 18...We began the 2008 walleye season with a group of oil well drillers from West Virginia. The weather was dismal but the fishing was surprisingly hot. This was the maiden voyage with my new 1st mate, Chris. He did not disappoint. Too rough to use planer boards, we still managed to boat 10 walleye...a respectable catch in 3-5 foot waves. Great job everyone!

June 21... Moved boat from North East Marina back to Bay Harbor East in preparation for the Dairy Crew from Pittsburgh. A great time was had by all as we managed to land 9 walleyes. I found my new fishing grounds on this trip as it was my 1st walleye charter out of my new home port. Thanks Robert for the great photos. Hope to see you guys again next year.
